One of the responsibilities assigned to Council under the City of Brisbane Act 1925 was the collection and publication of key statistics about Brisbane. The first published statistics appeared in 1940 and covered the period from 1925 – 1939.
Thereafter the Brisbane statistics appeared annually until 1989. The statistics include Diary of Events, Aldermanic roll, weather, valuations, council works, sewerage and transport undertakings, library, health and building statistics.
