Early Staff Cards prior to 1950

This collection of early Council staff cards exists only on microfilm which has been digitised 

• Employees listed in this collection are generally born prior to 1913. (Though there are exceptions, the youngest person seen in the cards is born 1927.) They include staff that worked for the post 1925 Council.

• The record of employment seems to run to around 1946

• The continuation of these cards (and transport staff cards) exists in hard copy only at City Archives.

• The cards document people who worked for Council on a permanent basis (i.e. not contract or casual work). 

• It does NOT include Transport Department staff as they were maintained separately.

•  Unfortunately, the quality of the original microfilm is poor and what is seen in these cards is the best possible scan.
